A&K M249 SAW PARA
The A&K M249 Para is the “compact” version of the standard M249 “SAW”. This version has shortened barrel and hand guard and uses a telescopic stock instead of a fixed stock. This makes it lighter and gives the user slightly better agility. With having it be fully collapsed, the user can stow the weapon and will have an easier time maneuvering and moving with the squad. It takes a matter of seconds to fully extend the stock and deploy the bipod to become “support” ready. For the price of $359.00, you get a compact very nice SAW that does exactly what it is supposed to do, keep heads down. The accuracy of this rifle factory is not the greatest but the range isn’t too bad. 100ft shots are not out of the question especially with the amount of rounds you are able to put down range. The Para chronos in at under 350 FPS with .25 bbs so it is usable at any fields that allow the use of SAWs. The weight is the biggest drawback but it is a SAW so it isn’t supposed to be light. It is a full metal body, stock and barrel. The hand guard stores the battery and can sometimes be troublesome to open. The box magazine that comes with it isn't very sturdy and is made from plastic and is very bulky and loud. The PARA is capable to taking STANAG mags as well.
Pros:
ROF, factory range, collapsible, STANAG compatible, full metal
Cons:
Weight, factory box mag, factory accuracy (fixed with a simple bucking upgrade), battery compartment is finicky
Overall:
Overall this gun is rated at 6/10 because the factory box mag is loud and the accuracy isn’t there out of the box but it does give you the feel of Rambo and is a great SAW replica
